disclaimeR: The purpose of this email is not to inspire any sort of debate, in fact dont even read this if you are admitedly anti-drug because i dont see any possible you will gain from doing so. Now. I'm sure this has been asked before, but whatever. Simply: What is your favorite drug/music combination? Even simpler: name the drug + name the recording/artist Me? hmm, a lot of things really... but just as an example this past summer on ketamine (and probably some of the good ol' herbage as well), i enjoyed the experience of arovanes atol scrap and coil's worship the glitch. and man, that was quite enjoyable. as a matter of fact that night turned out to be one of the most positive experiences of my life. there i was, totally anaesthetized, my body existing merely to carry around my glowing brain and allow it to enjoy such great pleasures as music with absolutely no conscious barriers. no filters or pretenses, just the beautiful beautiful music sent directly into the hallucination zone of my brain. this however is certainly not something i very often experience. a more common experience for me would be getting blazed and listening to some amon tobin or fsol or something. anyways i figured there has to be a share of those who experiment with reality (alternately, "get messed up", whichever way you'd like to phrase it) on this list, and I'm quite interested in any particularly mind blowing/wrecking experiences with the synergy of music and drugs as the primary cause. I find this type of stuff very interesting, and it sure never hurts to receive some recommendations for future experimentation. again, no debate please, if you dont do drugs then super, if you do then share. thanks, bcellway np: britney boys - whats that protruding from your skirt? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

last summer it was a hit or two of E and DJ Food's The Crow. now i don't do drugs. well i smoke weed, but even that's down to like 2 or 3 times a month, and what i listen to depends on my mood that time/day/week. when i drink i like listening to Marques Wyatt's Sound Design mix cd. i've done coke and tried to listen to something, but that never works. nothing ever sounds good. i always end up looking for a "more perfect" record. that never happens. err... music on K? how do you even pay attention? that shit is horrible.. tears your brain apart. i have never had a worse experience than doing K. except for once when all my senses were rearranged. WxLxH had nothing to do with anything at that point. that was a trip. but other than that... yuck. i really don't do drugs anymore though. so... anyways i'm expecting flames from the anti-drug people on the list. whatever. hit the delete button. i'm sure i will. blablalbla. np: nothing --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Tea is the ultimate psychedelic drink. It makes you alert but relaxed, and in an ideal state to appreciate more or less any form of music. The only exceptions are styles like drum 'n' bass, which sound somewhat better after too much coffee. I expect that speed has a similar effect, but I like my braincells. david --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

techno+acid does it for me everytime...nothing like huddling in a corner and freaking out...or really really good hardcore...a friend of mine makes all of his own stuff...and it's some of the most...umm atmospheric? hardcore I've ever heard...very acid conducive... josh23 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? well... i forgot the name of the album... but... loop guru + mushrooms = top notch... these guys *know* what's up... i'm willing to bet that it would accompany DMT perfectly as well... it's almost as if you're listening to nothing... fuking bliss. another favorite is autechre + mushrooms/acid/sobriety/everything. can't go wrong. and, of course the same goes w/ my own creations as well... i can get a different perspective on my psychology and formulas... but, then again... that could also be looked at as trying to produce offspring w/ your own children... sik. blech, ------------------------------------------------------------ Community, Events, Music, News, Free Email All at www.undergroundsource.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

You obviously aren't paying attention cap'n crunch... This is a funny thread, because all those movies about the 70s and silly teenagers listening to Pink Floyd all fucked up are really funny...it's perfect comedy and this is the modern version...I'm sure you all are going to look back on this and laugh. btw- my favorite combination of music:drugs:indoor temperature:boxershorts:sneakers:loofa sponge:vibrator:video program:is as follows: CCR banging Proud mary:huffing krylon:65 degrees F:calvin kline:converse:mmmmm looofa: http://www.goodvibes.com/toys/silicone.html?BASKETID=00_3a43a4979334e: nato.0+55 -l on 12/22/00 9:58 AM, Bill Wright at bill@subtr.ac wrote:

well before i part i do have to chime in that listning to the fifth song (deminim) of lex's oh hear some noises in headphones on two hits of acid was the best thing ive ever done at six o clock in the morning. And.... listning to music on drugs is way more "on topic" then the accompaning emails arguing likewise... it would be nice if you could do your playground regulating off list. Cranberry Almond Crunch and "Little House On The Prairie" -- Seriously. The littlest girl, Carrie, has some very trippy dream sequences, where she's nibbling on the edges of giant strawberries and getting chased by giant spiders. And they tackle the tough issues -- substance abuse, child abuse, racism, murder, religion, and what pro football players can do when their playing days are over. And they have weird production values -- they play goopy orchestra music as loud or louder than the dialog. And it's eerie the similarities between the Burbank back lot and rural Minnesota! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

when i first bought "come to daddy" a while ago, my friend and i dropped some shrooms to celebrate. i had bouncing bucephalous ball blasting in my room in absolute darkness when i turned and my friend was holding my clock in front of his face. it was weird. drugs are weird. i don't do them anymore. i tried listening to saw2 on shrooms (that was one of my dreams) but i just couldn't do it. my attention span was severly limited. shaun --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

err... i wrote this email this morning... but it didn't post until just now... maybe i got a dup. or something... but err... i've actually never written this before. i've never really talked about my drugs on this list before. one thing i didn't mention about drug/music experiences... i will never listen to morcheeba again. i did shrooms once and listened to them, and i threw the cd out the window, literally. i hated it. since then i hate morcheeba, and haven't listened to them once in about 3 years. and i'm just fine with that. happy chanukkah. a. I had the most amazing experience on acid at a friends house in a rural area in michigan listening to the ventolin remix ep. The world turned into complete musically linked hollucenation. If there was a way that you can have the best experience on a drug and music, this was it.. It inspired a song which was my "hit" at the time. "huvarhaund" at mp3.com/manicdetroit. Herbie hancock (sextant) went well too. Also, I noticed that lsd alienates you from your own music (as would be expected, because it alienates you from almost everything.) and you can get a better appreciation for it. Good kind bud and autechre (especially ep7) or rdj (come to daddy) in head phones is amazing. the best combination from my perspective has got to be Speacial K + some banging distorted minimal beats with strange but effective melodies e.g. Headroom-electronic ladyland E.P. on Compound . the sound is probably down to the K.!!!!!if that wasn't already obvious 8-)8-# [..] -- Dom Djcellway@aol.com wrote:

You really have a thing for that ketamine shit, don't you Ricardo? =) Um, copious amounts of strong weed and 'Risingson' by Massive Attack with some crazy Winamp vis plugin. Also Acen's 'Trip to the moon' with headphones or speakers set up really far apart. When I'm stoned or drunk, I just can't listen to my own music. G-love. http://www.gram.org.uk

Why just high school? It can be a part of your balanced breakfast for all through university too! :) CPI - experimental noise at http://www.mp3.com/cpi/ DXM - abstract ambient at http://www.mp3s.com/dxm1/ ......and of course... http://www.mp3.com/AwkwardBehaviour "Wouldn't you say, Pooh?" / "Say what?" asked Pooh, opening his eyes. / "Music and Living-" / "The same thing," said Pooh. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

lsd in a fast car in the pitch of night in the middle of the emptiest country side(alberta, canada) listening to autechre lp5 track 10 at 180 km/h on an empty road with the lights out for the entirety of the song driving to the light of the stars and moon also mushrooms and seefeels last album on warp(cant remember the name) also in the same fast car(beautiful factory stereo) with 2 feet of snow on each side of the road and simply weaving back and forth and the experience that over-ride all rave pretences, black dogs spanner on mushroom, just laying on carpet floor until its done and the experience that just about ended it all, 6 grams of british columbia mushrooms(arguably the best in the world) and laying in a room with absolutely no light(anyone who has slept in it refers to it as a natural dream machine)and listening to coils time machines but drugs have become extremely hard to come by around here over the last couple of years, wondering whats a good substitute for the above mentioned(robitusin, nyquil, but whats ketamine??) any help, thanks ahead _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
