finally got 'brownout'. loving it. how does the rest of their output compare to this, both in terms of quality and the types of sounds and compositions? discogs.com lists this as the only album plus a few preceding EPs, is that true? d. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

sounds about right. For being so busy they're not very musically prolific. They have, however, released an album (maybe more?) as Soul Oddity. It's pretty old-school sounding but with hints of where they've ended up. It's called Tone Capsule. And there's also the fantastic EP on Warp under Phoenecia, called Randa Roomet, which I really like and has elements of their Soul Oddity sound mixed in with newer styles and sounds. They also have a few tracks on each of the Schematic compilations, although I don't think any of them particularly stand out (although they're still pretty good). -- eggytoast.com -- eggtastic.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

there's also a single for one of the songs from brownout... um... oddjob? with remixes from prefuse73, otto von shirach, adult (i actually like the adult remix quite a bit - and i'm not big on electroclash) and others that, i think, is only available as a cd... i liked the phonecia tracks on ischemic folks, but that whole album is more like a sound design compilation rather that 'music'... --- DJSTiK420@aol.com wrote:
