GETTING IT IN THE EARHOLE....! The inaugural Dedbeat Weekender kicks off on Friday 23rd of February for three days of phat party mayhem as 1800 go mad in Norfolk. Featuring the very best acts ranging from Big Daddy Kane, Jeru The Damaja, Aphex Twin, Keb Darge, Mr Scruff, Andrew Weatherall, Roots Manuva and Depth Charge amongst a host of other greats this is as amazing as it is original. Situated at the Vauxhall Holiday Park in Caister near Great Yarmouth this seaside patch is no stranger to the weekendaaah spirit of good vibes and great music. Already home to the legendary soul weekenders, the Dedbeat crew offer something altogether more alternative, futuristic and plain funky. From todays hip hop lords, downtempo swingers, futuristic beatsmiths, rare-groovers, electronica generals and electro mavericks this is one line-up that's got splendid times, dope sounds and VALUE written all over it. Entry includes 4 star holiday park accommodation (bookings must be made as 4, 6 and 8 berth or limited 'book early' quants of 2 and 3's), all the chalets are fully self catering heated and en suite i.e. showers, TV, cooker, kettles and some even hair dryers and three rooms off kick-arse beats with your weekend ticket also entitling you to use of all the parks facilities including a Winter Blues beating tropical swimming pool! Remeber your wetsuit. And then there's a bowling alley, amusement arcade, pool hall, gym&sauna and more. And those decent chaps at Dedbeat are throwing in event programmes for free on entry, so you don't have to fork out another fiver to find out when The Pharcydes bizarro hip hip observationalism drops or when 2 Lone Swordsmens swashbuckling live tecktronics cranks up the random noise mangler. Notice something else? Yep no sponsors. This is all about the music not the money. Oh yes ! ROOM A - Beat Ranks BIG DADDY KANE THE PHARCYDE RED SNAPPER live ROOTS MANUVA UGLY DUCKLING MR. A temporary skate park will be assembled by Clown Skateboards for those wishing to bring Boards/BMXs with break dancing provide by Second 2 None and The Sinstars. Some pro skaters will also be doing a daytime exhibition. Then there's Independent fashion outlets (for the ladies!). A fresh cake stall. Record stalls. Maggot racing for prizes.
