Hey all, yea, basically i want ot start a new record label and was wondering if anyone here wanted to have a chat about either contributing, release on etc etc.... anyway, so bullet points on the proposed project and myself as such With Rephlex officially closed down and Grant working on Coloundi stuff, i think there is a hole in the market for a modern brand of Electronica/idm/braindance type stufff that takes into account and nods to both the past AND musical developments that have happened since the IDM heyday - namely genres like grime, early 00s UK dubstep, garage, 130 keysound type stuff, modern love type stuff - basically not just churning out the same kind of electronica that has always been.... I have run a physical and digital record label in the past I am a music journalist that has written for DJ Mag, Tiny Mix Tapes, Hyponik, The 405, Data Transmission, Sonic Router and more.... My main job is as a Music PR Director at Cygnus Music I also work freelance outside of Cygnus as well and am planning on setting up a new music PR/Graphic design agency at some point next year I have represented and ran PR campaigns for SKAM, Ramp, Fourth Wave, Beatcamp, Atomnation, Renegade Hardware, Blackout NL, Eatbrain, Lee Scratch Perry, Wigflex, Tumble Audio, Four40 Records, Sector 7 Sound, Plug Research, Infinate Machine and many many more I have press contacts at pretty much any site/magazine/newspaper you can shake a stick at... Basically i wasnt working in music when i started my first label, but now think, due to the above that i can give it a good crack again... learning from mistakes and all of that jazzz// So yea, if anyone here is interested in maybe plotting some more, hit me up.... nice one all Al -- PR man...Music Scribe 07972 509 878 Skype: Al.NCHKennedy
