on this subject...
at the last two kid606 shows in nyc that i attended,
there was a "huge" number of women at the show. Sure,
they were still out numbered by the guys, but it
seemed like at least 35% of the attendees were women.
Cool.
however, at the Nile/Impaled/Incantation show i went
to at the wetlands, there was also a large number of
women at this death metal show, a genre even more
under represented by women.... so maybe it's a New
York thing. but it's definitely a good thing.
I will say, i know a decent number of women who
definitely know far more about techno than i do.
also, could the original poster please refrain from
saying such stupid things? it reflects poorly on us
guys who don't want to be associated with such sexist
tripe.
but then again, it was probably just a troll.
