ok, i already ordered the software and it should
arrive in a couple days (it shipped today, UPS)...
I downloaded the demo this weekend and managed to get
it making squarepusher-esque drum beats in under ten
minutes...
Since I have nothing beyond rebirth in the way of
gear, this $400 sampler, sequencer, 2 oscilator analog
synth, etc, package is a damn good deal. If you've
already got a good set up, i'm not sure if it's worth
it for you, but if you don't have anything, this is
very attractive...
I'm planning on eventually getting cubase vst,
hyperprisim, max/msp, metasynth, etc... but for now,
Reason will allow me to do what i want in the here and
now.
And, it makes it REALLY easy to do odd time signatures
with the synths...
