Awlright everybodee... For those of you that like to D A R N C E to good music....Club.Klang - tomorrow night (November 1st) at The Volks Tavern on Madeira Drive, Brighton (UK). Down on the seafront, east of The Palace Pier- Ring 01273 682 828 if you can't find it. 10pm-Late, £4 [£3 NUS/DSS/FLIER] (print this email and save a quid!) Guest DJs from Kosmische: Horton Jupiter, Jim Backhouse, plus Melting Steve, Sam Kant and myself. This is the first Klang for around two months so we have plenty of pent-up rock 'n' roll energy to unleash on ya. Steve says he's going to play some acid two-step(!) and I feel an 80s revision sesh comin on (it wasn't all bad, honest). Current fave raves (in no particular order): They Came From The Stars, I Saw Them - Authenticicity (Throw your record collection away) Sklent - Lover King Baby (Sam Kant, Phr@ser and friends' electro-pop sextastic future classic) Kid 606 - Catstep/My kitten/Catnap - Vatstep DSP Remix by Hrvatski (Big up your chest you crazy yanks! - vinyl?) Burnt Fried-Man - Fucking Long Time (How long have we been waiting for a whole album of Roll Over Ehrenfeld?) Stereolab - Golden Ball (Man they were good back in the '93) Moebius, Plank, Neumeier - Zero Set (Kraut super-groop perform live acid house well before anyone knew what that was) Moebius & Plank - Rastakrautpasta (!) The Fall - No Bulbs (Mark E's crew groove out proper on this one, 'when your home is a trashmount-ah') Shellac - Watch Song (Seething rock violence - too much fighting on the dance floor) Riuichi Sakamoto - Riot In Lagos (Kraftwerk weren't the only ones producing techno blueprints in 1980) Phantomband - Loading Zone (There is life after Can) Kreidler - Circles (Give it time) The Jimmy Castor Bunch - Troglogyte (Cave Man) (Cave, Man!) DJ Banane - Being Boiled (Someone finally got round to pressing up some SID chunes) Sensorama - Harz (Born Under a Rhyming Planet remix) - (Jamie Hodge should be a huge star - anyone notice 'Analog Heaven' in the film 'Takedown'?) Baker & Cicotelli - Incubate & Circulate (Dubed out and dirty circular grooves on Soul Static Sound, anyone know more?)
