"The Rebel Radio Diary" - it's a travel diary that Rupert Mould (aka Senor Roody) of UB&O wrote during his visit to Cuba in 1998 where much of the recent album (and next year's follow-up) was recorded. It's a pretty interesting read, although those that don't agree with his political standpoints on the history of Cuba may not dig it too much. As far as I know, the initial copies of the album were sold along with the book. It's possible that the book is being sold seperately as well. It's a book about the rebel radio diaries, how up bustle and out went to cuba and recorded with these amazing traditional cuban musicians. it's also "an englishman in cuba" - well sort of but not really = and there is a CD with it, or should be - it's being sold separate and together and the music isn't all Cuban, but expands from hiphop to downbeats and lots of life in betweeen - a good afternoon listen on a cold day will warm you up....
