The Cinematic Orchestra remix of Krust's - Re-Arrange is really good!! It's on the "Talkin Inside The Beat" comp. on Talkin Loud. The Jazzanova remix of 4 Hero - "We Who Are Not As Others" is also really nice! If you have not heard the Cinematic Orchestra CD on Ninja Tune you should! It was one of the best releases in '99 in my opinion. ===== SWOPE TRANSMISSIONS - Listen on KUCI.org every FRIDAY Evening 6-9pm (Pacific) http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans/swope-transmissions __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? There will be a Cinematic Orchestra Remix album coming out November......Here are truly advance highlights just to confirm... (and my wrists will probably get slapped by someone for spilling this so soon....) but here @ ninja hq we are constantly amazed at the depth of TCO...

Well, to me, this idea doesn't sound that new at all. From the top of my head, I remember - Kruder&Dorfmeister ('The K+D Sessions') - Karma ('Modifications') - Funkstoerung ('Additional Productions') and - Jazzanova (forthcoming release) doing the same. While I have great respect for the Ninjas, I don't like all that self promotional 'we're doing something new' kind of press texts. At what point in there did we say it was a new concept? "New remix album" means it's a new release not a new concept. Jeff

i believe he was referring to the "This new remix album is different in that with most remix albums it is the artist tracks remixed by other artists. This is the other way round" although i agree with the ninjas in that it usually isn't done this way.

You said that nowhere. I was just saying 'I don't like all *that* ... *kind* of press texts.' Emphasis on *that kind*. And to me at least, the text for the Cinematic Orchestra remix album had that 'look at this, it's something special!' feel. Maybe it's just my bad English, but that's what I read between the lines ... fair enough, but if we said "hey this record sucks" it wouldn't be a very effective press release would it. Just pointing out that every press release for every record goes on about how great the record is...it's our job/life after all. Anyway, no offense taken just saying we/all labels are guilty. Jeff
