since Rebirth has been mentioned... yes, if you spend some time assembling a good sample set, rebirth is fantastic for 4/4 stuff, personally i've made a lot of speedcore with it, which I'm now kinda tired of... any how, to hear some attempts at IDM-ish stuff done entirely in rebirth (ok, rebirth and some aiff editors, but all sequenced in rebirth), then check these mp3s out: http://www.overwhelmed.org/ataru "naked brunch" is the most successful, very harsh though. It's just TWO samples manipulated with rebirth. the samples were created by forcing a aiff editor to think two 16 bit samples were 8 bit. nice effect. the end result is sorta like Merzbow trying to do IDM... maybe. The mp3 encoding actually adds to the effect! anyhow, any feedback would be appreciated... I've come to the conclusion that I'm gonna need cubase to take it "up on that other level" ya know? Anthony who mostly lurks but is full of questions soon to be asked. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail ?
