I read in the local paper that Kid606 is playing with a band called ON tomorrow at Kanes (06/10) tix are $.91cents prolly cuz the gig is sponsored 91x (big corporate FM radio) anyway, who the heck is ON? My guess is there prolly just another up n comming /Mtv/"alternative"/soon to be hasbeen band. I'd like to see kid606, so good thing he's opening and I won't have to sit thru something I'm pretty certain I'm gonna hate. Maybe one of you know about this ON and can warn me in advance (maybe I should stay?) lemme know, gilly --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Zimbette and I went to see that very same line-up at the Troubadour two days ago. Actually, the live set was a collaboration between Kid 606 and Brad Laner... Whereas then Kid opened for the Fantomas half a year ago, that show was certainly an assault. This time is was more of a discordant groove. It was friggin' great, of course. ON on the other hand.... hmmm, the nicest thing I can say about them is that they sound a bit like Super Furry Animals, if they would ditch the cheesy American alterno-singing and rock star make-overs. ======================================================================= Brian MacDonald <brianm@kuci.org> KUCI 88.9 fM in Irvine, CA -- Orange County ======================================================================= On Fri, 9 Jun 2000, Gilbert M Videla wrote:
