I couldn't give 5 tosses what his weight is, unlike the other shallow fools here.. thank god he's evolving a more personal sound vocabulary, the beat programming skills remain, it's not "experimental wankery".. Swear to god, it seems like all you suckas are in a constant state of nostalgia for 5 years ago at any given moment. move on and get over it, sheesh! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I think it's boring and pretentious. That whole architectura serious, and particularly the Brasilia one bother me to know end. The idea that some German wanker could sum up a city he's most likely never been to in a mediocre CD is apalling. To quote my friend, Brett: "I am curious if anyone has any considerations on Panacea's "Brasilia" album, at the "conceptual" level... I personally think the concept is a complete load of shit, as it is pretty eurocentric and simply assinine to assign a 60 minute patch of bleeps and then go on to make the statement in the liner notes that it is (in some wording) "the sound of Brasilia." How can one eclectic, European, electronically derived (and rather boring, I might add) CD describe and represent an entire city, especially when that city is reduced simply to its "ultra-futuristic" architecture? Brasilia was "ahead of it's time" in terms of being an extremely industrialized city in the middle of an as-of-then relatively unexploited landscape that is Brazil. I think it's absurd that they printed that BS in the liner notes about Panacea's vision of Brasilia inspiring his soundtrack, (and ultimately, his soundtrack reflecting an inspired Brasilia). And concepts aside, he certainly broke no ground with this disc, and had he broke any ground, it sure as fuck wasn't in the western, or southern, hemisphere."

I was merely pointing out that I think he's a tweaker judging from the fact that he's lost a LOT of wait and he was jumping around like a fool.

I think my problem is more the fact that he's doing things I would've maybe been interested in five years ago, not vice versa. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@atdot.org | atomly@cyrus.net http://www.atomly.com | http://www.mp3.com/atomly [CELL|(888)522.3830] | [CELL|(701)729.1631] | [HOME|(612)676.1817] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Some of the finest music I've ever heard in fact was created in the name of some stupid, pointless concept or other (oval?). In fact most of my favorite musicians are total fucking pretentious assholes. Does this make their work any less fine..? not at all as it turns out ! It's all about the music, stupid.

OK, I don't know why you have to be a cunt about this, but yes, the concept does matter. THE ENTIRE FUCKING CD SERIES IS A *CONCEPT* SERIOUS, YOU TWAT! I agree that in the lack of a concept the music is the only thing that matters, but when the pretense of the CD, and its whole series in this case, is that it is based around one concept then yes, the concept does fucking matter. Sorry if I come off as angry, but I don't enjoy being called stupid by seemingly uninformed people.

Less adventurous tastes? This derivative piece of music is about as adventurous as a trip to the fucking mall. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@atdot.org | atomly@cyrus.net http://www.atomly.com | http://www.mp3.com/atomly [CELL|(888)522.3830] | [CELL|(701)729.1631] | [HOME|(612)676.1817] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I'm well aware of the nature of the series and the concept behind it. If you were paying any attention at all you would have noticed that my message is that the music itself transcends the weak concept. If you let the concept of the cd interfere with simply listening to it on it's own merits as sound, then i'm afraid that yes, you are a big stupid dummy head. sorry ! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
