That's Nine Deadly Venoms, unless you got shortchanged! As I posted recently, Depth Charge == J. Saul Kane. I think he must have been a partner or owner of the Vinyl Solution label at one point cos his name pops up on lots of their stuff. He co-wrote/produced a lot of the EON stuff. Also MIDI RAIN, I think... And SUBJECT: 13. He's also done a lot of work with Bomb The Bass over the years. Basically, a great talent, and hugely underrated. Criminal, really.

I really like how all the rhythms have that lo-rez "gritty" sound. Plus it makes me smile. Not much does that any more... Name: Jon Email: jsd@cyborganic.com Web: http://cyborganic.com/~jsd

i absolutely adore Nine Deadly Venoms. what about it is badly produced? it has a very grungy lo-res sound but it sounds intentional to me. admittedly it has some weak spots but overall it's just an incredible trip from start to finish.

I just got a copy of "9 Deadly Venoms" on vinyl about a month ago from gramaphone here in chicago. They had to special order it, but it only took a week so it can't be that hard to find. Also I found the "bonus cd" on vinyl. It was a promo single with #9, the guide and two mixes of Hubba*3; (what's in the bag) and (knife in the bag). It contained no reference to being music from a bonus cd. Number Nine is the coolest song they ever did. It is total 70's cop show theme music. Very low rez and gritty. The groove they get going would make senior citizens hug speakers. So as it turns out - I have the bonus cd - Since I have the Number9 12". Ok. Great. Anyone have any info on the differnce in the rest of the cd - mastering etc. It may have just been a rumour. I would like to know though. Peace. Kevin.

Yes. J. Saul Kane is Eon. I used to play Eon extensively on my radio show at Sonoma State University in '90-'91. I'm quite sure he isn't Eon, though he has collaborated several times with Ian Loveday (the real Eon), as has Baby Ford... Interesting. This is what it says up on that site (http://www.sci.fi/~phinnweb/jsk/eon.html): "Eon is mostly I. Loveday / Ian B but J Saul Kane co-produces, mixes and writes quite a few. " Hmmm.... I always thought he played a larger part in that project. Maybe not towards the end or something. I honestly haven't followed his work for almost ten years, so I'm no authority. I wasn't too impressed with Octagon Man, personally, but I only had one 12" - I think it was Demented Spirit. Was that the one with the Highlander samples, or am I totally off base here? This is what happens when I rely on my feeble memory... :) t h a n k s ! :: e v a n k. s t o n e :: w e b p r o g r a m m i n g e n g i n e e r :: m u l t i m e d i a l i v e :: p e t a l u m a, c a, u s a ------------------------------ :: mailto:evan@mmlive.com :: http://www.mmlive.com

mornin' just got in booted up and got this shit - crap little worm virus heres how to kill it 1) Close the e-mail programme 2) Download and install the Microsoft "patch" which prevents the virus from exploiting the weakness in ACtiveX scripting. The download is available at: http://www.microsoft.com/TechNet/security/bulletin/ms99-032.asp 3) Delete the KAK.HTA and KAK.HTM files from your PC. The HTA file should be expressed as a series of numbers and characters when you search for it (e.g. 98278AE0.HTA) 4) Open e-mail client and turn off the Preview Pane option. 5) Again in the e-mail programme, delete the default e-mail signature in Tools, Options. 6) Delete any potential messages that might cause reinfection.
