Thanks for the info. Q was actually posed after I read the urbansounds article. Seems that the variations may have different functions on various formats; therefore Cds may increase the dynamics of the variations and vinyl may elicit newer/ subtler changes due to decay. Whatever it is, Thomas has come up with some exclusive theories of sound production and perception. I wonder if this will make the annals of electronic music history?
