I was lucky enough to find a copy of Paap's "Vrs-Mbnt-Pcs 9598 I" in a local shop last night, and I must add my praise to the opinions already expressed. This is a beautiful release that will easily find a place in the next ambient set I spin. I'll be out looking for Part II as soon as possible... :) Greg -- Greg Clow - greg@stainedproductions.com - http://www.stainedproductions.com - feedback monitor - electronic & experimental radio/reviews/interviews - - http://www.stainedproductions.com/feedback/ - - Dead Voices On Air & Not Breathing - December 22nd - Reverb - Toronto - --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Hi, I just ordered the latter from http://www.x-radio.com a few days ago... I recommend them highly, no problems in several years of trans-pacific orders for me, fast too! I engaged on a little on-line trek (and on-foot trek throughout NYC too) to track down the two Jochem Paap releases on Fax, and came up nil on-foot. On-line, however, I managed to track them both down. A store in NZ, http://www.cranium.co.nz, has the 1st disc. Bent Crayon has the second. Ordered them both last week, expect arrival next week. I also just now ran across another incantation of the 1st disc, and I'm really ready to shoot myself too for not having known about this site earlier. http://www.emusic.com. Yes indeed, disc 1, available for full download, in MP3 format, and fairly cheap too. ah well. hope that helps anyone looking for these discs. -- jr --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Its been a while since Fax got so much attention on just one artist - Not since the From Within (Richie Hawtin/Namlook) series - which is totally out of print and highly collectible now. So get it while you can. Not just a co-incidence that everything Speedy J releases is highly collectible. well, for this list maybe. the FAX discs featuring Klaus Shultze (sp) are VERY popular with a certain crowd (namely, the krautrock folks). the "Dark Side of the Moog" series have almost all gone into repress (five so far!!!). personally i've never understood why all the attention has focused on these when there are so many other wonderful FAX discs that deserve repress. -------------- 1642 try 621 -------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
