yes, there is someone running this list. is it their job
to stop childish quarrels? no. this list exists on the
principle that it can self-regulate itself to the point
that the signal to noise ratio is low enough for general
list happiness. think about a few things before you
fire off that oh-so-witty response to the list. your
words are reaching about 1000 people. these 1000
people subbed to this list to have thoughtful discussion
about something that they are very passionate about.
if your words are not contributing to the list in general,
or aimed to increase your knowledge of the subject at
hand, keep them to yourself. very simple.
