Speaking of Kreisels: Who is behind Kreisel 37 (or was it 39)? The one with gyroscope on the sleeve and label. It doesn't sound like Mike Ink... What other Kreisels are similar? I listened to couple of other kreisels but they sounded a bit dated (old school acid tracks), I guess those were by Mike Ink. some other records I have listened lately: Sturm: Gesten (Mille Plateaux) Yesterday I listened to this for the second time and it started to sound interesting unlike in the first time... very much like his brother's Gas project but without samples from classical records. Very minimal... no trebles at all... just kick and bass and not much else... Crank: Heftibag (Mille Plateaux) I really don't know what to think about this... are they serious or is this a joke... maybe both. This is some fuck jazz! Gotta listen to it once more... Rapaccioli EP / Split EP (Vertical Form) First two releases from a UK label. You can instantly hear which city they have derived their sound from... Rapaccioli tracks are very well produced club techno with strong CR influences... not the most original stuff but I like it. More clubby and more percussive than your usual CR stuff. Didn't like the b-side of split ep that much. Compared to Thule or Pure Plastic releases I like these more. Isolee: Beau mot plage (playhouse) Yes this is old, but I'm lucky that now I've got it. This is what I call progressive (with p not P) or avantgarde house!!! House music is saved! How is the new Isolee (I owe you)? Fluxion: Oblique (Chain Reaction) Very good pumping club techno (the oblique side). One of the best new chain reaction releases. Still I think they (the label) should start searching for new sounds and not just duplicate the old one. Hallucinator: Landlocked (Chain Reaction) Good album, although there were some tracks that didn't much to me, but "Red Angel" is a killer!!! Round One to Round Five: CD (Main Street) Compilation of main street tracks on one cd. Dubs work better for me than vocals tracks. Round Five is very much like their Rhythm & Sound material, deep slow dub with their trademark sound which I'll never get bored of! SWEEEEET! The dub (of round five) is edited heavily (I think the vinyl version is much longer). I'm a bit biased to say anything about these records, but anyway: Conoco: Kemikoski EP (Sigma Editions) This is probably his (Vladislav Delay) best 12" so far. Less ambient or more techno that ELE cd. Should be out this month or so. Vladislav Delay: forthcoming 12" (Chain Reaction) If you liked his ELE cd, you'll like this also. My favourites are A2 (deep ambient dub) and B2 (short, very mesmerizing track). His forthcoming CD 'Multila' on chain reaction will contain all tracks from his two CR vinyl releases, so if vinyl is not yer thang wait for the beginning of the next year... those who liked the ELE cd are obligated to get it (I wasn't paid for these comments... well not much anyway :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Actually the 7" I have is number 39, which is by Daniel Miller and Thomas Fehlman according to Forced Exposure. What other similar stuff they have done? I know Fehlmann from the orb connections, but I haven't heard much of his music lately. This 7" was really nice (both sides at both speeds), something similar with first 2 sähkö releases (you know bleeps and stuff).

The same Care as on Force Tracks? I liked his Reval-EP on Profan much more than the EP on FT.

Daniel Miller is a mute records exec whom i know little about but Thomas Fehlmann is a longtime producer who has been releasing projects since 1990. Some of Fehlmann's may collaborators & guises over the years include The Orb, Sun Electric, Marathon, Juan Atkins, Blake Baxter, System 01, Readymade, and 3mb. More recently Thomas has been releasing 12"s/cds under his own name including two 12"s and one cd in the past three months. Here are some Fehlmann recommendations: . Thomas Fehlmann: One To Three cd (Apollo) . Thomas Fehlmann: Good Fridge cd (Apollo) . Thomas Fehlmann: Blow-up Chimp 12" (Apollo) . Thomas Fehlmann: Overflow Minus One 12" (Apollo) . Thomas Fehlmann: The Flow 12" (R&S) . 3mb feat Juan Atkins: jazz is the teacher cdep/2x12 (Tresor) If i'm not mistaken, both of his cds are compilations of sorts culling tracks from past eps, comp appearances, etc in addition to new tracks. I believe his new cd, One to Three, contains most of the tracks from blow up chimp & overflow minus one 12"s as well as his tracks from the kreisel 7". For more info check Fehlmann's official website at: http://www.flowing.de
