everytime i try to make a top 10 list, i'm always faced with the same
problem: not so much how to judge that an album was better than another
(we all agree, i think, that this is nothing but pure, unleashed
subjectivity) but comparing an album that had an immediate impact on me
shortly before fading away in my listening habits while still a good
memory, & another which doesn't look like much but which you end up
listening to for more than you thought you would, is to me useless &
inaccurate. so i made 2 lists: hits for the former case, & growers for
the latter. some of the hits i may have even sold already, but hey,
they're good. these lists would probably be much different had they
been written another day.
