keith whittman has what is in my opinion his most beautiful track to date on the upcoming lucky kitchen remix album (he'll be featured along with to roccoco rot, i-sound, andre estermann, electric sheep, horse opera, nick birmingham, and satchiko m. to name a few others) this release will be sent out to be manufactured before the end of this month! out now: tourist 7" with jansky noise, tom, suetsu, alejandra & underwood, and aerospace soundwise. we received the records back from the czech recording plant just today and they look and sound amazing! out last week: qwerty cd-r on kitchen sink, a few copies (only 100 were made) are still available from the usual sources, if you ordered one direct from us check your mailbox -- it was sent earlier in the week, apologies for the delays. enjoy. love, suetsu

Since there was some gripes regarging orders from Lucky Kitchen a little while ago I thought I'd let all IDMers know that I finally got my copy of the Family Audio 10" on Friday. I'd ordered it way back in the spring (I think) and pretty much gave up hope after a few months of nothing. However, I wasn't terribly upset since the check was never cashed... until now I assume. ;) Just wanted to let everyone know that the LK crew may be a bit slow but they eventually deliver. And such tasty packaging too! (Speaking of cool packaging... anyone pick up the .Aiff comp on 12k? I really like the 5 1/4" floppy packaging but have no idea what the stuff sounds like. help?) The .aiff comp is indeed a wonderfully designed package and the musical content contained therein is also excellent. The whole comp is very much in the digital ambience & glitchy experimental electronica similar to the output found on labels like Rastermusic/Noton, Intransitive, OR, AudioNL/Microwave, Meme, Mego, and 12k. Artists on this compilation include Taylor Deupree, Komet, *0, Shuttle358, Savvas Ysatis, Kim Rapatti, and Goem. There are some soundbites on the official 12k website.
