I wasn't too keyed up about it, but I was am fairly indifferent to the Max
Goldt narrative. Potuznik's songs/backing tracks sounding nothing more
than a mish-mash of leftovers; plus I have about the same yen for hearing
fin-de-siecle German vaudeville as I do for watching Chow Yun-Fat work
through the Hong Kong comedy paces.
My suggestions for psychedelic narratives on record:
Intersystems: _Free Psychedelic Poster Inside_ (late 60s fable of
modernization breeding alienation, set to a fabulous backdrop of
electronic swarms)- see also _Peachy_.
Hafler Trio: Intoutof (sort of an 80s version of the above, sans
voiceover but with booklet)
Hatohan: (sort of a 90s version of the 80s version above)
etc, etc
-rob
(burn your Laurie Anderson records, or at least trade them in for Henri
Chopin!)
