okay, just got this 12"... dark grey label with "TOBIN 01" in black (the O is the central hole). same label both sides. runout groove says '"love don't come easy"' and 'mpo' on 'A1' side, 'tobin 1' and 'mpo' on other side. thinking it could be an amon tobin 12" (you never know) i checked it out. i was surprised to hear click'n'drone type stuff, somewhere between rhythm&sound and makesnd. bought it anyway. good stuff. so. what is it? label? artist? what? hs _______________________________________________ the soul is just a waste product that disperses in the atmosphere and jams the tv broadcasts.

I've got the Tobin 01 ep too and it is indeed excellent. Henrik's description of rhythm & sound meets snd is an accurate one. Pole vs oval would also apply. Tobin is the both artist and label name. Both artist and label are based out of Hamburg, Germany. This is their first release - both artist & label. There is also a Tobin track on the recent Total 1 comp on the Kompakt label.
