Umm, I don't mean to flood IDM with Matmos related posts, but we opened tonight for Labradford and Godspeed in SAN FRANCISCO- we're NOT on the Los Angeles bill- instead, Scarnella are opening, and they're a duo who improvise (I think, anyway that Nels Cline guy is in the band). We sure had fun playing the SF show and thanks to all those who came out for it- Definitely worth going to should these folks come to your town . . . signed, Drew Daniel Matmos http://www.abrupt.org/PRODUCT/matmos.html

I just found out that Godspeed, You Black Emperor, Labradford, and apparently Matmos are playing at the Troubadour tomorrow (Friday the 24th). I'm thinking I may have to go, and am wondering: anyone else planning to brave the Indieness and go? I went to what was supposedly the Troubadour web page for more info, but just got bounced to iuma.com. Anyone know price or info? Now I just need to stock up on some tight sweaters and ugly shoes by tomorrow! ---- "There is no gang of 'intelligent techno' freaks here who break showroom windows to steal pocket calculators." - Jouni Alkio Jeff Pitrman [cCM] jeff@spof.net http://bling.spof.net

I would LOVE to go but my radio show doesn't end until 9pm. I have a feeling by the time I would make it up to Hollywood that I would miss part of Labradford's set. Tickets are $10 from ticketmaster. I assume that it will be the same at the door. As I have said a few times on IDM, the Kranky label is very cool! --- Jeff Pitrman <jeff@spof.net> wrote:
