A truly magical event.... actually felt like a real party. Not too much retail, nice sound system, thousands of people getting into John Aquaviva's hard techno set, a stunning live set from The Kooky Scientist, and a truly exceptional balls-hard set from Richie Hawtin. And barely a chin-stroker in the room.....! Aa np: Pete Namlook "Air" (my post BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOOOM music)

The same goes for the Montreal show. Hard as hell, but still minimal, and how about his 2-3 minute long snare rush attacks every now and then :) You couldn't even hear the music with all the cheers. i have to chime in on this one and fully agree, he just headlined a 3 day outdoor event this weekend with a 5-hour hard techno set that blew minds up and down the board. the amazing thing was how moving it was with so few tracks. it had everything... all the noises you want to hear.. the "electric elephant" noise... the subliminal voices.. the mutating bass.. the finger snaps, the high-key melodies... dropping out for about 2 seconds with a nice synth pad, then kicking it harder than you would have thought possible. all the while with fireworks, lasers, and the trees dancing to the light of the intellibeams.... joyous -Alistair White www.ire.org/~al On Tue, 7 Sep 1999, Sebastien Dalphond wrote:
