Great, so now instead of IDM being a source of information we can just point people to our little inbred zines. GO CAPITALISM!!! (Nothing against Grooves, but c'mon people. Info needs to be free.) OK, nobody review anything here anymore, or supply any info. Instead, type it up and sell it for a few bucks to those who care enough to know. JJTar...just another money grubbin' slimeball. --- Peace Hugs and Unity Jason J. Tar W. W. J. D? (What would Jason Do?) http://www.msu.edu/user/tarjason ICQ@13792120

yo... it's already up @ http://www.insound.com/zinestand/grooves/feature.cfm?aid=2134 but you really should go out and buy grooves. it's nice and fuzzy.

wake up on the wrong side of the turntable? without magazines like grooves (and e.x.p), the electronic music we listen to would not get exposure (especially in the states). The idm list does not compromise the buying public. For two dollars and fifty cents you can get the mag. That is hardly money grubbing. p.s. I have written reviews for grooves and was not compensated. I did not expect to be and nor did I care to be. I wrote because I wanted to. Support indies (in all art forms) or start listening to something else... -daniel Head Monkey Mad Monkey Records http://monkey.eliteware.com On Mon, 23 Aug 1999, Jason J. Tar wrote:

^^^^^^^^^ compose ack putting that BA to use... IDM tip of the day: Picked up Black Lung - Silent weapons for quiet wars picture disc. Forgot how good this thing is (plus the LP itself is stunning looking). Has this one track where a voice explains that humans have learned to ignore sounds or they would go mad. It then goes into ambient synths with a nice beat structure. However, underneath are cat meows, car noises, babies crying etc. Makes the point quite nicely. -daniel
