SImple question: How is the Porter Ricks remix of NIN? I see the vinyl around, but don't wanna blow $6 for 1 track that may not be very good. And ... Although I'm sure this is very old news - I was watching the ridiculous _8 MM_ movie the other night when "Come to Daddy" popped into it. Not once, but TWICE! And bonus points for the bad guy playing it on vinyl. AND they showed part of the video (in a cameo sorta way). So, what I was wondering in a totally non-IDM related way, how much is the going rate for appearing in a film? First a car tire commercial, now a movie ... what next? Pop chart domination? Porn? I suppose this is a good thing. Its pretty much like any Porter Ricks track.. 4/4 thud thud thud thud, strange sounds, and thats continued for awhile. Nothing really extraordinary, if you like Porter Ricks you may enjoy it.. but i wouldnt go out of my way.

Nothing really : extraordinary, if you like Porter Ricks you may enjoy it.. but i wouldnt go : out of my way. : i was pretty excited when i saw the mp3 on the newsgroups and grabbed it. very dissappointed, for some reason expected so much more, but the above describes it pretty well, with parts of the nin track rising up through the beat throughout:... was pretty unimpressed and mot likely my least favorite nin remix (big fan of nin remixes and this failed to live up to expectations) sadly, for those who are, so did the nin single in general. i liked all previous releases quite abit and had come to expect a change in style and sound (while maintaining a degree of stylestealin' & linestealin' from every conceivable influence) but the new tracks seemed quite a bit like material off the downward spiral in that they did the big build up, loud loud then quiet thing. liked it quite a bit on ds, but had hoped for a change come the new material (especially with the new company that nothing has been keeping, was hoping we'd see reznor take stab at the 'idm' style, which i fear would be far more interesting than quite a bit of what has been hitting these ears lately) buy the new vvm. ITS OFFALLY GOOD
