I stumbled on twine when web searching, and I must say that this is some of the coolest stuff I've never heard of ;-) http://www.mp3.com/artists/7/twine.html Kind of at the intersection of arty noise and dubby techno, obviously influenced by the berlin and cologne artists, but definitely original and distinctive. kent williams -- kent@avalon.net ICQ:33001909

I think i've mentioned twine before in a few of my posts. If not, here's the lowdown... Twine is a Cleveland-area product. They play out a lot around this area and were one of the opening bands for the Cleveland Thomas Brinkmann show last year. They just released their first official album called "Reference" last month but had several cdr- only released before that. I dont know what tracks are on their mp3.com page but the stuff i have is a mixture of dark experimental electronica and more d&b influenced stuff. I dont recall hearing any cologne influence in their tracks but maybe you heard different tracks than i did. Regardless, twine is worth checking out. Visit their website for more info & sound samples to see if they're your flavor. http://home.earthlink.net/~twinesound/ -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Well there are some downtempo, clicky stuff (a la pole) and all sorts of odd loopy stuff on mp3.com. Along with some interesting drum & bass, but I'm still waiting for a US drum and bass artist to really kick my ass.
