You can't yet. The first Orange release won't be out until early Feb or so. PJ at s://kimo will have buttloads, so you shouldn't have any problem getting it. Greg

Finally got my Lexaunculpt 12" on Orange. Haven't listened to it yet, but was sort of disappointed by one thing. Since the label is called Orange, I figured the first release would be on orange vinyl with an orange floppy disk, neither of which was the case. Any reason for sticking with black wax, Gonzi? Mike.

I'll field this question... As a designer, there are certain clich?s you must not tread upon. One would be the expected orange vinyl and an orange diskette as mention in the quoted message. Though a clever idea, I would imagine you would have to do something interesting with it. Here are some other clich?s that a designer must not apply to a cover layout: Bass speakers, a picture of the band / group / or artists involved (with the exception of Mr. Aphex), the ever popular technics 1200 mkII turntable, the TB-303 (seen quite often in some form or another on those DJ mix CDs)... Anyway, I'm sure you and everyone else has the idea by now. But I'm sure Gonzi has a more simple anser to the question. === jason >>> underscore: http://www.gl.umbc.edu/~nworth1 underscore mailing list http://www.egroups.com/list/underscore designstorung: http://members.xoom.com/jm45675/Designstorung.html _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? you'll think i'm crazy, but this is exactly what made me not buy the first add n to x album. "ahhh... this looks allright, the cover is nice... i hear they're pretty noisy... cool... aaaaartghhgghhg, picture on the back cover!!!@#! & they look so alt.something... nah, not buying it." so to this day i have yet to hear an add n to x song (other than the thurston moore remix, which is actually quite good.) -- david turgeon at http://www.notype.com

Ha ha ! Don't judge a book, blah blah. Go run off and get On the Wires Of Our Nerves with the woman giving birth to a keyboard rather messily on the VERY alt.something looking cover. You won't be disappointed. Hey, even The Wire rated this in their top whatever for '98 list. And The Wire can't be wrong. {cough} I *

I thought the name Orange was because the label was from Orange County...so maybe a strip-mall picture-disc would be more suitable... darren Jason McCollum wrote:

not the noise you might be looking for, though i would recommend it to you. you like stereolab if i recall correctly? well, take stereolab and fuck them up bigtime a you'se got addntox. actually, i bought it today, and am listening to it now! incredible coincidence! i was hesitant at first to get it as well becuase there were 3 people in the group, making it a "band" as opposed the to lonely guy in his bedroom studio that i can relate to so well. i wasn't dissappointed when i finally got it. tomas np: (well addntox is done now and i'm on to): STURM (wolfgang voigt's brother) - (no idea what this album is called)
