okay, i'm not usually one to rise to these cheap tactics, but david's is one of the few opinions that's worth a damn in my book. i went through my active pile and picked out the front-most bunch of records that are closest to electro: bjork: alarm call (matmos mixes) [one little indian] anton price: prom [tryptamine] maarten & tjeerd: lunetten e.p. [u-trax] el stew 10" [om] autophonic 10" [djak up-bitch] susanne brokesch: sharing the sunhat [disko-b] timbaland: lobster & scrimp/who am i [blackground/atlantic] cosmic force: robot poetry [clone] carl finlow: electrocide [scsi] deep space network: meets higher intelligence agency [source] ectomorph: abstraction [interdimensional transmissions] clatterbox: 2x10" [clear] klystron: vitrom [riot city] twilight 22: electric kingdom/siberian knights [hot classics] detroit: beyond the third wave (compilation) [astralwerks] not all electro, most older than a month. i can't say that any of it sounds like jedi knights (other than twilight 22), but it's pretty much the state of '99 electro as i see it. :) eric onnow: scsi bus resets (quantum/symbios)

Some of my recent favorite electro-related releases: -the new Adult EP on Ersatz Audio -"Unknown Artist" on DiskoB -certain loops on that double-vinyl Khan (?) lock-groove record -"XTRA" Subhed-label 12" (not really electro maybe) -Der Zyklus 12" on Gigilo -another Gigilo 12" name escapes me, but has shuffley electro bits I finally heard the Black Dog "Babylon" 12" with Future Loop, etc mixes. The A-side Future Loop Foundation was dullsville techstep-whatever, disappointing, the first of two remixes on the bside was very very nice, but I still opted to buy other releasees. The first time I've not liked a Black Dog record and passed it over. I guess if there was an original (not a remix, but just Ken's version) I might have bought it. i guess I prefer 2x12"s of cool little thematic instrumental experiments and songs. I will try and help ya out as much as I can, but there is a guy on the list named Dan, I believe, who is a GC spotter, so his knowledge is much more greater in this area than mine. First, go to: http://www.ulp.co.uk/ Also go to the old cite and see what ya can dig up! I havent got any of their Jedi Knights stuff, but I have a lot of their GC guise. Still, I will send U another message with Dans message that I just found. Also, Jayne Creamer I believe is her name, not too user friendly, but if U email her enough she may give U some sparse info. I believe she is @co.uk but I cant remember the address(so check the site or ask dan, he is really cool and he has hella knowledge on those cats.......hey may be Tom or Marks cousin or something----ha ha h a). Lastly, I cant say really anything about "electro" for I am sorta new to this and the categorzation of things alludes me like the nature of a beautiful woman(sorry). But I hope this this helps ya out though!
