when i was a teen dieselboy was the first drum and bass DJ of any repute to come to the midwest and he played a ton of shows in bumfuck nowhere towns all over, basically initiated the midwest into drum and bass... him and the couple other americans like AK1200 and Dj Dara now his sets are 4-deck masterpieces of 80+ tracks, amazing stuff if you like any kind of, i guess its just Bass music now... That sounds like fun a time. I imagine lots of people would have attended a good party or too! It reminds me of moving to the city for university and hearing electronic music for the first time.
