thanks to all those who replied and helped me. I'm going to purchase thomas fehlman's "good fridge" even though i haven't heard it yet, but because it came highly recommended. I also heard a couple Sun Electric mp3's and I like what i hear. they are called Osram, but i don't know what ep they are from. my question is which sun electric should i get? i can get either "kitchen" or a live cd. if anybody knows what ep the "osram's" are from that would be helpful. by the way, i also enjoyed hearing thomas brinkman's live set in toronto as i got an mp3 for it yesterday and listened to all 128 minutes of it as soon as it finished downloading.

The two Osrams "someone" encoded and put up at Bleepbloop are both from the 2x12" untitled (or perhaps self-titled) EP that preceded the release of the album 'Kitchen' in 1993. The EP is long out of print. There are tracks on 'Kitchen', including another Osram, that are similar to the MP3s you heard. The other tracks on the EP include 3 that were also included on 'Kitchen', plus 3 mixes of O'Locco that were available elsewhere. The live CD is quite good, all ambient, with passages of muted kick drums but nothing like the overtly dancey stuff you might expect.
