i just heard a track from ratios album on central. excellent stuff! since i'd only heard central 3 (memory foundation) from that label earlier i just thought like "hey it's memory foundation and it's ace stuff on some crappy fucking label i've never heard of before" but it seems i was very much wrong.. i noticed central 9 (der rhythmiker?) in stock where i usually buy records online. any word on this? as good as memory foundation and ratio? pole's cd2 is out since february 1st too. gonna order this and cd1. outta be interesting. i've never heard pole before. and don't think i'm not gonna let ratio slip away. luv, bauri

there was a thread about this very subject on this list (or maybe it was 313) about two weeks ago. Central is the label of the the Hi-Lo guys who are the ones who produce all the releases on the label. All are recommended with the exception of the second Skinless Brothers ep called "In the G." The style of these releases is smooth solid techno - sometimes minimal and othertimes lush - but always good. Here is a little discog... . Ratio: Transfer 12" (Central 01) . The Skinless Brothers: s/t 12" (Central 02) . Ratio: Interrupt 12" (Central 03) . The Memory Foundation: Heated Heads 12" (Central 04) . The Skinless Brothers: It's the G 12" (Central 05) . Ratio: Preview 12" (Central 06) . Ratio: Welcome to Central 2x12" (Central 07) . Die Rhythmaker: 1999 12" (Central 08) . Ratio: Welcome to Central cd (Central cd01) - A limited number of these come with a bonus mix cd on which claude young mixes tracks from all the previous central label releases. It's a fabulous mix too. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
