Hi, I know this is off-topic, but people here seem to know quite a bit about software etc. (and what software various musicians use). I'm after a sequencer (win95) that can play multiple tracks at independant tempos/bpms. Preferably in the Cubase sort of vein but allowing you to change the speeds of different tracks independantly : does anyone know if such a program exists. All of the sequencers i've come across to date only have a single global tempo setting. I know you could achieve the same effect with audio software, but i want to do it with midi (my computer is not fast enough, and i'm using a sampler anyway!). I'm sure alot of the musicians here would be interested in such a program. Any leads much appreciated. Cheers, Mark. http://freespace.virgin.net/mark.hadley/mark/go.html

In LogicAudio, you can lock events to their SMPTE position, then change tempo at will. You can also stretch sequences. The bars/beats/ticks won't be correct afterward, but it will sound the same. I know that's not exactly what you're after, but it is the best approximation that I know about. (Can you do that in Cubase?) Apparently the MPC3000 (hardware sequencer/sampler) will allow 2 tempos. --Mark __ Burning Rome : SENSELESS CD on Mindfield Records MindCD03 Cathartium 14 > Distributed by Dutch East India Trading, Com Four, and Carrot Top < < http://www.xnet.com/~mkolmar/BurningRome > < MP3 & RealAudio tracks >
