... I'm willing to trade/sell this CD. As all of you (may) already know, the Bass Kittens is Jon Drukman, mastermind behind the 'Ultraviolet Catastrophe', and has remixed such artists as The Orb, Rozalla, Anything Box, Up Above the World, and Contagion. [Snipped from a "Sweaty Planet" review...] "Picture emotions that run the gamut from demented techno to post-punk hip hop to moody electro to twitchy drum 'n' bass, add a dash of weird sci-fi humor and you'll have an idea where Bass Kittens makes its home." If anyone is interested in this release, please email me off-list. I can send you my want-list, and we'll take it from there, or drop me an email with your $$ bid. He's remixed The Orb? And this is the guy that wrote "Busted" (the text adventure game written in AdvSys)? Scary... Is he still on this list? Jeremy.

Strange to see a mention of Anything Box here. About 2 year ago I bought an album of theirs unheard in a mega-markdown-sale merely for the cutesy coverart. They're sort of Petshop Boys-y pop sounding and I've never heard of them before or since. But recently every second hand shop I go into has a copy of the damn thing there! What's the scoop on them? I don't know if they're even still together. I know back when I was REALLY into synthpop the Channel 69 used to open for them a lot but I never went to go see them. Anything Box were pretty cool to me when I was getting into better music, aka the years of 16 and 16, IIRC. Maybe even 14.
1999-02-03 16:13ae1650@wayne.edufunny I was listening to them the other day, The album peace is a piece of synth pop bliss

funny I was listening to them the other day, The album peace is a piece of synth pop bliss, not since pet shop boys " behavior " has their been an album I've listened to straight through without getting bored.. Rumor had it they borke up a while back and the female in the group had left( which is true) but the drifted from the synth pop sound more into a techno/dance outfit. bb.
