Hi, once again a question to those who know: Today I found a record at my record store (in the 'Skam / Gescom / ...' corner) which sounds quite interesting (very minimalistic, a bit like Pole with a touch of Arovane). Unfortunately there's almost no info on it telling more about the artist / label. The info I found is this: On the a-side (white on black) is written 'snd1:5' and on the b-side (white on black) 'tplay,1:5'. The etchings in the runout grooves say 'SND1 A1' and 'SND2 B1' (SND seems to be the abbreviation for the label) and 'DAMONT' (the masterer ?). According to a sticker (which was out on it by the store) on the plain gray cover it's limited to 400 copies. If you have any info on the artist / label I would be happy if you would share it with me. De:Bug #19 (Jan. '99) has a small interview with the guys behind this, so here the important facts: - the proper (?) Name of the Label is '.snd' - the project is from Sheffield - contact via tplay15@hotmail.com - one of the guys released something on Ash, one (other ?) on OR, one will have a release on Touch (hope I got this right) - they call their style 'dehydrated techno' or something like that (If you speak / read German and are interested in this release try to get a copy of De:Bug for the full (but short) article.)
