idmers: Is anyone else out there somewhat perturbed by the fact that releases lately that were to be "vinyl only" are being pressed on CD after the fact?? I scrammed to find the limited Bjork/Funkstoerung 12" and the Mouse on Mars "Glam" LP only now to discover I can get them on CD. Since I prefer CDs, I will now be stuck with both copies. I mean it doesn't bother me that much, but it's $26 I could have saved. Can't both vinyl and CDs be pressed at the same time? While on this thread, are the bonus Oval "Diskont 94" remixes (by Scanner, MoM, etc) available on CD anywhere, or just on the bonus 12"? -Mike

In both the cases you mention, the CD releases are reissues, being pressed by entirely different labels from the original vinyl releases. I'm sure you won't have any problems flogging the originals off to rabid 'spotters. -d.w.
