I just read the liner of the Erronormous World CD and it says "licensed from Lollop Recordings, Japan". Anyone know about this stuff? I'd love to find more Reflection stuff or familiar. It's fantastic! once again verbalizing my allegiance to Clear... -rbc3

I don't know about Lollop Recordings, but I do have the other Reflection CD on Clear - the remixes, called 'The Morerronomous World' (maybe a typo on their part?). The mixes are undoubtedly cleaner and less freaky than the originals, but for the most part I actually prefer that. It's just damn funky. 4 Hero, two As One mixes, along side Clear folks like Morgan Geist... Michael "You know what? I agree about those 2 Reflection releases on Clear, they are both just brilliant. btw, Lollop is runned by Nobukatzu Takemura, and I think that Reflection : Erorrnormous World is their 1st CD release and the 2nd one is Nobukatzu Takemura's album 'Child's View'. and I think that there is also one comp. CD. I didn't hear 'Child's View' but I have 'Child's View Remixes' which really has some great moments, specially Luke Viber's Aphex's and Reflection's remix. nice to be back bye rob

Over the weekend I dug out a bunch of old Reflection records -- the Errornormous World, one of the 12"s (I didn't know there were two, in fact, but so says Amazing Discographies) and the Reflected Beats 12". Those records are just as amazing now as when I first heard them... I can't believe I went so long without remembering to throw them on the decks. Anyway, does anyone know what they're up to? Still recording? Other projects? Morris, I know you recently posted here, so perhaps you're reading the list as well... I remember you were one of their big champions. So where'd they disappear to? pining for more reflected beats, phil

Hmmm...well, I don't have either of the original 12"s, but I do have the remix 12" with Morgan Geist and As One mixes, and I'm into both of 'em. The Morgan Geist mix is a beautifully restrained house track with lovely jazzy touches - there will be a little pause, then a brushed snare bit, then back into the track (for example). The As One mix is in 6/4 and works breakbeats into a nice techno jazz tune. The label art is great, too - beautiful colors in a grid. As an aside: what's that style of art/design called? I want to say cubist but I'm not sure if that's right. If you know what I'm talking about feel free to correct me.
