i think the autechre remix of merzbow is one of the BEST "idm" tracks i
have ever heard.. for me it acts as a nice symbolic marriage of two genres
I really enjoy (though I am not entirely convinced that remix was
created primarily from the original track:). it really is a nice thing to
play for people who like noise but do not like idm and the opposite..
the song, to me, sounds like what I expect the coil/autechre collaboration
(if it ever happens) to sound like. i was expecting the coil/merzbow mix
to sound something more like phthalocyanine or the new gescom mix of
hecker..
if you like this ae/merzbow mix, check out the richie devine track on the
new schematic compilation (lily of the valley).. actually, check it out
anyway. wow!!
