has anyone else had trouble with their Chain Reaction CDs breaking in half? does the metal packaging place unnatural stress on the disks when they're shelved horizontally? i notice that the bottom halves have a bit of "bounce," which makes the CD removable - but could also crack the CD when the case is impacted from above or from below. i have never had a problem with CDs breaking before - even when they were stored in the flimsiest of packaging. is my experience with CR01 an isolated incident, or have others had similar trouble? manufacturing flaws aren't unheard of - look at PDO - and i suspect that i'm not alone in my broken _Biokinetics_ grievances. thoughts? i actually just noticed this on my vanquier elevations disc a week or so ago. just about 1/2" crack. o well, now i guess i have to leave it in the player. now if only they would release CR05 and CR18 on some sort of CR comp so that i could listen to substance: relish in the car. Yeah my Biokinetics has a crack going from the center hole about 15mm inwards... it still plays ok... but im not sure for how long... Steve /k/./F/

Yes - while the packaging looks nice -- it's one of the dumbest designs I've ever seen. We had one come broken from the distributor and one re-order from a customer who broke theirs a week after we sent it. i would just like to report that the structural integrity of my biokenetiks is intact and that if you will notice how when you place the cd onto the bottom half of the packaging it acts similar to a snapple lid (or any other vaccuum seal) and a gentle "pop" from the backside will free the cd rather than attempting to lift/pry/twist the cd off, which im betting is when it has broken for most of you.

Add my name to the list... I noticed an inch-long crack (from the center out) a few months after I bought it, though it still plays in most of my CD players. When you place the CD on the metallic tray, the tray has a tendency to bend backward, bending the CD along with it. I still haven't had any trouble with the Basic Channel or Maurizio packages (though I've obviously taken a bit more care with them since)... --------- JohnBush.
