Ed from DMX told me that Richard *still* hasn't decided what tracks to put on it....and while we're on the subject of DMX, he also told me that he has a new album out on Rephlex in February... Also, he played me this record on Rephlex by some people called Frequency (or something?? Phreakency maybe). I couldn't believe what I was hearing, it was like Swing (which i hate) or hiphop or something but the lyrics were decidedly dodgy, really rude actually. It had a picture of them on the back and they looked like your typical hiphop ganstas...anyone else heard of this release? (gonzi?) -- Ben Coffer Hybrid Productions http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/

Yeah, it came out this week. I've been amusing my friends with it for awhile. The boys seem to like it much more than the girls. The Goon album is the one to watch for though. Soo Nice. BTW, some of you people keep posting trivial stuff that could easily be dug up with a simple web search. Stop being so lazy! You know who you are! gnz.

You mean me? :) I only realised just after I sent the question to the list that i should've really checked out your site first... By the way, what's the discography for Breakin' Records? I have the first one, how many more are there? Last time I spoke to Ed-DMX he said he had about another 7 ready for release already... -- Ben Coffer Hybrid Productions http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/

Not really, I mean at least you where on-topic. Any post that begins with 'off-topic' in its subject should not be posted to the list really. If you KNOW it's off-topic than why are you posting it?!? I would just say as a general rule regarding people looking for discographies and url's for websites - take a couple minutes to do a yahoo and alta vista search before posting and 9 out of 10 times you'll find it on your own. Lazy bastards.

There was some discussion about the creation of a DMX/Breakin website which I hope we'll still be able to do. I'll keep you posted, I want to know about the Breakin stuff as well. I've heard a couple of them at Brock's house and they all sounded pretty dope... GnZ/G-Shock/Fresh.

im not just rocking the boat for no reason here, but... off-topic doesnt necessarily mean totally irrelevant. its not irrational to think that you might find help about something thats already on a record-label site by asking the members of an electronic music list, for example, or (i cant remember who posted that) help on which game console to choose for the kids, because youd figure at least one or two 'trainspotters' (ugh) would have a game's system. besides, the query 'clear records' ran on hotbot, altavista, yahoo and excite returns stuff about unofficial pages, distributor pages, mail order pages etc... but nothing about the official site. search engines have a lot of info to digest, therefore they take longer to include brand new sites, so its not like everybody's first reflex is to ask the list. btw, i really like your beta squarepusher page (honest)... nhf, j

The game console question was posted by me and I was real short on time and thought if there was one place that gets me answers fast, its the idm list, and what better place to find vid game players than @ a list that caters to tastes that sometimes involve an overwhelming usage of vid game sounds... any rephlex fan should appreciate that. i admit though, it wasn't appropriate list material and i received much email flak for it and am only carrying on the process with this mail... so... picked up a bunch of used / bargain bin stuff today and noticed that there was a *ton* of instinct and harthouse material there ($1.99 - $3.99) for cds... also a bit of subharmonic, though nothing that i was looking for =( i recall something about harthouse going under or something, am wondering the same possible fate for instinct (?)... anyways, if anyone happened to be looking for titles on either label, i might venture back to the mall one more time and if so, would be willing to look up titles... Instinct is still around AFAIK, but thier main distributor went under a few months ago, so all of the distributor's stock was probaby remaindered. You're right about Harthouse, though - the US office of Eye-Q/Harthouse went under rather suddenly early this year. Greg
