They might be dead, but the won't be forgotten. Codenys, Bresanutti, De Meyer - Heroes!

The last ep (94?) that basically contained "Angels" and "Modern/Speed Angels" remixes from the OFF album. Not a very good EP I'd like to add... Front 242 is dead, long live Front 242! What's the score on Mix@ge / Mut@ge ? I've been trying to get it for quite a while, but no-one knows about it over here (S Africa). Label? "Off" has such a lot of logos on it : Sony / Epic / RRE in collaboration with Play It Again Sam Records ... Has anybody got it? Is it worth pursuing? (I still love Slaughter off Official Version best). I * "Incomplete without surface noise" - Autechre

_Mix@ge.Mut@ge_ was recently released in the US, after having been out in Europe for almost two years. It's on a small indie. I think it's a great CD if you don't have most of the tracks already (most were on singles), and it even has some otherwise-unreleased Underworld mixes on it. To me it's worth it for the first CD appearance of The Orb's Messengers From Neptune remix of "Rhythm Of Time," which is just astonishing. They have a recently-minted web site (http://www.front242.com), but it's a little under-informationed. Nothing about any new forthcoming material. They had a great run, though. I have an almost-complete discography of theirs and nearly everything that's available on CD, and I saw them twice in concert (the first, on the _Tryanny_ tour, was jaw-dropping fantastic). I miss 'em, but every band runs out eventually. I'd love to hear their live "remakes" of their old tunes. Maybe they'll get released, like Kraftwerk's _The_Mix_ (which, to me, is still the standard-bearer of remix albums). Track listing for Mix@ge.Mut@ge: 1. Rhythm Of Time (Messengers Of Neptune Mix by The Orb) 2. Happiness (Dub Mix by Underworld) 3. Gripped By Fear (Bunkerclub Mix by Rico Conning) 4. Mixed By Fear 5. Crapage (The Float Or Sink Mix by The Orb) 6. Junkdrome 7. Religion (Bass Under Siege Mix by The Prodigy) 8. Happiness (Dance Mix by Underworld) 9. Break Me (Female) 10. Rhythm Of Time (Victor The Cleaner by The Orb) 11. Dancesoundtrackmusic (DSM) 12. Religion (Trance U Down Mix by The Prodigy) -- Adam J Weitzman -- Individual, Inc. -- http://www.individual.com -- "We need your fax number in order to respect your wishes not to receive unsolicited faxes." - a Microsoft registration screen

I actually own a nice 9"X9" sticker for this album and it says "kaleidoskompilation" and "Mix@ge Mut@ge" on it along with some really warped graphics reminiscent of "Off" and "Up Evil". Info on back: NR2024 212/675-4268 info@nevprop.com Anyone that wants one of these nice stickers can contact me, I've got a load of them! Rusty
