<<< "Avantgardism III"?? i liked I, but haven't even got II yet. thought someone on the list said it sucked. something about all those tracks were exclusive because they sounded like cast offs? i found it hard to believe that they could assemble 24(?) bad tracks by that line-up. anyhow i can't find the original post. so what about it. does avantagrdism II suck or what? quick before i get too far behind. -martin

I just stumbled across something weird on Avantgardism II. Only listened to it a few times and this time around, I noticed one track that I know that I've heard before:

A nice little jazzy number with a cool funk bassline. The weird thing about this is the last week I got copies of all the new NoUturn white labels, and this was on one of them. Since it doesn't sound remotely like NoUturn stuff, I'm assuming it's going to be the next Saigon release. Very curious! Anyone know who Langley & Wallington are? peace out, brock. np: Aventgardism Vol2

just picked up my first saigon release -- unknown face's bliss/dats cool -- because it had a nico production credit, even tho it sounds almost nothing like no-u-turn (except for a subtle hoover bass in the bckgrnd of one cut). is this some sort of no-u-turn offshoot -- their intelligent/jazzy little sister? and since mine was labelled sag011 does that mean there's ten other releases i've missed? and do rush/trace/fierce record for it under aliases? also, while i'm on the noUturn tip -- whatever happened to spider net, who released a great noUturn 12" a while ago? jeff
