I've been let down by both of the Peacefrog albums, they're competent works but I can often play them without a single track grabbing my attention. Connections also is bland at times even when all the right elements seem to be there. Which makes want to like the album badly, but it doesn't quite work for me. One of my faves that hasn't been mentioned yet is the 12" Steve put out on the Mo'Wax Excursions series - tracks like Warrior are very funky with more live-sounding drums. I wish he'd do more in this vein.
