well ok, but it doesn't stop the music being shit now, does it? and i admit that i haven't heard every goa trance record but i've heard quite a few and the whole scene strikes me as being completely derivative, locked in its own vicious circle of bullshit and middle class snobbery... if i want something spiritual i can choose something by black dog, aphex twin or ken ishii, all of whom reveal goa trance to be 1 dimensional rubbish made by boys in studios paid for by mummy. cheerio! np - int(rnd) - silicon vortex \/\/\/\/\/+++++''''|||| YOUR'E GRANNY WOULN'DT LIKE IT salford sounds, the phriendly fonographic phun-loving label for the noughties.. http://www.sub-con-geo.demon.co.uk/migration.ram ----- --------

But not 'drum and bass' right? ;) Anyhow, I'm a big fan of Appaloosa's take on d&b which seems to include using a bassload of analogues. I have their "Nautilus" release and an odd 12" w/dj dream on LGR, and then something on the Pepper label as "Sheilds" (which is an outstanding 12" oweing more to the likes of kenny larkin than kenny ken). What else is out there by Appaloosa? Websites? Interviews? Discogs? The breaks site&list offered little to no info. The skinny will be appreciated most fatly. Teep PS: like how I railroaded that subject ;) Now Playing: Random Junk - most illingest burned cd THANKS JSD!!!

I don't think I'll even try to start arguing that one. Oh all right :) each unto his own, but there is no comparison between the whirlwind of activity and progression in the ever-changing drum-n-bass scene, and the incredibly dull, innovation-lacking, 303-twiddling nonsense that goa trance has become. Yeah, point taken. I was really into trance a year or so ago, but I just haven't heard anyting very interesting recently, and I've heard some downright bad stuff too. But Pete had taken someone else's harsher words on Goa - I quote "completetly derivative, locked in its own vicious circle of bullshit and middle class snobbery" and applied it to jungle. The key point of my post was not to slag goa off, butto object to this, but in fact that's what I ended up doing... Case closed, I hope. np: Kool FM (still) J ^ Steady J aka James Skilton steady-j@geocities.com Autechre & SKAM discogs @ http://subnet.virtual-pc.com/~sk393820

If you've got "Night Train" with DJ Dream (LG 011) you could try the one on GL (014), "360 Click" with Blame. There's also the track on Bukem's =Earth, Vol. 1= (i don't remember if it's previously released; i doubt it). Good Luck... ---------- John Bush

I've seen the name at Global Communication's website. I believe there were some remixes, either by or of Chaos & Julia set, so you might be able to glean a little information about them there... Yeah, I know this ain't much to go on, but maybe it'll help... Che
