well i got no response to my last message on this (i guess everyone was to busy talking about which was better records or cds and women in idm) but, does anyone have the info on v vm001. come on, shead some light on me.. also, do all copies of lunatic harness come with two identical front sleeves, cause mine did? (same with my copy of autechre's tri repetae++) maybe I'm just lucky. or delusional... <<1) The original Mighty Force 12", with Schizophrenia (1991) 2) R&S 9201 ("Digeridoo") 3) R&S 9209 ("Xylem Tube EP") 4) R&S UK12 ("Digeridoo") 5) Joyrex J9>> <<does anyone know if the tape from Select magazine (1994?) with the song "Phlid" (I think) on it is worth anything? I think the "song" is horrible, but have kept the tape for some reason. >> this brings up a good point: I was thinking about putting together a sort of a price guide for rdj stuff at my web page. similar to the one at pwei nation. i think it would be useful to both sellers and buyers. Perhaps we should do something like this for rare idm stuff in general. anyone want to help? E-mail me (warning hardcore trainspotters only:-). ps: there's a prodigy chat on aol tonight. i asked some of the "hard hitting questions (as Craig Killborne would say :-): "Keith: you look like a freak", "Liam: how do you fell about keith getting all the attention because he has pink hair and jumps around funny" "all: you give real electronic music a bad name" etc., i just hope aol sends them through to the whole board. i also got into a flame war with some prodigy fan who claimed to like aphex twin. i asked what releases he(she?) had and i got the response "my sister owns an import store and i have 4 imports" when prompted for a name I got a list of four future sound of london releases. I then refered to him as richard and got "who?" and he was refered to as "they" for the conversation. The person then got frusterated and called me a poser and a faggot and signed off. It's good to see that this whole "electronica" craze hasn't hit our peaceful idm scene :-) (AOLers, <sigh>, i'm cancelling my account soon... hopefully) pps: please stop trying to work out trades with me for a dub of ab5, unless you've got any live stuff or extremely rare stuff to trade, i have neither the time nor patience to do 2 for 1's or trade for stuff i could just as easily buy. Sorry, enjoy the real audio for now, there may be more coming... ppps: thanks to all who helped me and sfwd out by putting ab5 up on thier server. i'm pretty sure we've got more than enough mirrors now (sfwd?) , thanks. mult. http://members.aol.com/MultSanta

Yes, thanks to all... stats are calmed down a bit anyways, and hopefully a few different options will keep them below the limit til next week or til everyone in their right mind retrieves it... again, thanks! Ok. Here is a reiview of Vm001 that I posted to the list for about 2 weeks ago. Artist: V/A ? Title : Up-link Data Transmissions Cat no: VVMT-0001 Label : V/Vm Format: 12" Tracks: S-scape 00620 - 01 VaKXHiNaTiONn (8/10) Artist: R J Kirk? A real nice track... Dark melodies and nice rhtyhms. The track reminds me about the Jega/Gescom style. S-scape 00621 - 02 Clockworks (5/10) Artist: ? errrr.... ???. This track sounds exactly like the poor Fasttracker modules that I make with my pc computer .... Don't by this shit... :) This is the most bizzare track on the record. S-scape 00622 - 03 Dance Of The Spheres (8/10) Artist: B12? This is one of the best track on the record. The track sounds EXACTLY like a B12 track from their first release on Warp. A bet 10$ that this track is made by B12. S-scape 00623 - 04 Alien Cocoon (5/10) Artist: ? First impression: Is this a joke? A very strange track, strange sounds, bizzare melodies. I can't understand what the musical point is with this track. I have never heard anything like this before. S-scape 00624 - 05 Black Sick (5/10) Artist: ? First impression: What the hell is this? Hard beats, Messed up voices, in electro tempo. Overall rating: 7/10. This record is strange, but if you like B12 ...then should you pick up this record for the B12-ish track. The Dance Of The Spheres track is also a good reason for picking up this record. If you liked the Privileged Frames For Reference style... buy this record! Not that I'm bitter or anything but I posted a little comment about this probably a year and a half ago. I thought it pretty strange at the time. Amongst my purchases on Sunday: H.I.A. & Pete Namlook - "S.H.A.D.O." All the track titles refer to the Gerry Anderson series UFO (Ie 'Maintaining Scan for UFOs' etc.) but it isn't littered with dialogue samples, thankfully. There are a mixture of beat-y tracks with that familiar interlocking Bobby Bird style and pure ambient numbers. On a brief skim through I was a bit worried but a proper listen provided ample reassurance. If you liked the other recent HIA collaborations then I'd say get this as well. On Fax, of course. Vainqueuer - "Elevations" Nice metal box - nice tunes. No surprises for Basic Channel admirers but would you really want any. I may be able to buy the Mesmer Variations CD which has a Gescom track. Can some lucky owner tell me whether the rest of the CD is any good (and indeed whether the Gescom tune fits into that category)? adam

isn't this 'impossible' to find i.e. it's out of print?
