Microstudio/Unagi Patrol - Carpet Bomb 002 - 12" - Carpet Bomb - CARP002 More vague shit from the States. It's clear there's something burning in the states. A lot of labels like Schematic, Suction, Isoplux, see daylight, in other cities then Detroit or Chigago. Also musical wise they're more inspired by, let's say Autechre and Richard James and look-a-likes. Carpet Bomb is another one delevering it's second release. Two artists are featured on this on. Side A brings us Unagi Patrol, giving some hectic drum'n bass in overdrive with juicy melodies of the ones like Aphex Twin and Squarepusher. The long side is by Microstudio taking us on a journey through lots of different territories. From jazz to downtempo to uptempo breaks, it's all in there. Fine release. Carpet Bomb has two releases to date: Carp01: Microstudio-Cubensis 12" Carp02: Microstudio/Ungai Patrol split 12" sadly, both are, AFAIK, out of print. you can find one of the tracks from cubensis on the _altered states of america_ comp, as well as new track from new carpet bomb artist/alias kundalini. (you can find kundalini shockwave of exclusive tracks at: i believe there will be a new 7" release sometime in the near future. ~mlt
