Funny you should mention this. I just got finished not two hours ago interviewing Kirk Degiorgio for an upcoming radio special. The P.O.S.A.M. CD was released as such because ART was too strapped on cash to do the comp on their own. Kirk wanted to release the tracks on vinyl as well, but had severe philosophical differences with Grant at Rephlex. The result was that some of the tracks were released as ART 2.1 and 2.2. There you will find the tracks by Balil, As One, Esoterik, Neuropolitique (the original in this case, not the remix), Future/Past, and Red Cell, but none of the Rephlex tracks. The original releases on ART are very hard to find (editions of around 1000 or so). Beechwood did a quadruple pack of the first four ART EPs called "Objects d'ART". Unfortunately, this one is hard to find as well. I wish you luck in your quest. Goodwrench KFJC-FM On Now: "Freestyle Candies" comp on Klang - cool stuff....

Hello, I'm fishing for a bit of info here...wondered if anyone could help me out : The infamous "Philosophy Of Sound & Machines" CD on ART/RePHLex... Was it ever released on vinyl ? If so, in what format (2 EPs ?) Are they as rare as the CD ? What kind of quantities were pressed & how much should one expect to pay for 'em ? Many thanks in advance, Aca p.s. a free sweet to the first person who answers all questions correctly ;-)

Yeah. I saw one of the 12" eps a few years back at a local shop. It had some BALIL tracks on it... I can't remember what else. Anyway, this place has got it [ep #2] for sale: Ellesdesia Mailorder <marcus@ellesdesia.nl> http://www.ellesdesia.nl It's not listed on the site though - I received a current stock update about three days ago and it was on there. You might want to try the e-mail above address directly. Oh, and to add to your query... were the three RDJ tracks (the BLUE CALX, SOIT-P.P, and Q-CHASTIC) on the first ep? Or were they exclusive at the time to the full-length cd compilation? (I know the BLUE CALX and the Q-CHASTIC tracks can be found elsewhere...) lilab. .`--). o o ._) christopher miller ==;' evil@digital.net ==' ' on: a dub of "Phat Lab Nightmare" by WAGON CHRIST (anyone want to sell me theirs?)
