A "newsgroup" that doesn't propagate beyond its originating server host isn't a "newsgroup". It's a "local newsgroup" with remote access at best, which renders it utterly pointless. (For example, Pipex's London gateway is telling me that that host is unreachable. So I certainly can't read it.) If they want a newsgroup, create a *real* one with normal Usenet propagation so the rest of us can read it ... - Greg

I wouldn't knock it. it's taken them long enough to get this far. there's nothign wrong with local news servers as long people can access them. not ideal, but quick and simple. g.

Better yet, why not just go off and form that alt newsgroup? And then see it flooded with advertizements. e
