OK this is definitely a classic! (even one Photek's CDs listed as changing his life! - 'think I read that in Jockeyslut) A CD that must be heard at least once a month. Now my question: what's up with all those Phils? (on Spanners they called it Bolts) you know, Phil 1, Phil 2, etc. I love those things. I own the TVT issue, not the original WARP, and at the beginning of track 10 is PHIL#4. It's lovely, just makes my day. Why couldn't this thing be made into a full track? I am not asking for 7mins of it, but more than 30 seconds. Let's hope Bochum Welt doesn't get that buzz, or we'll pay $20something for a disc totalling 5mins! (sarcasm) Does anyone know if BDP ever planned on making these PHILS into longer tracks? or is that what Music for Adverts is all about? Hmmmm. Sure would love to hear the PHILS into longer songs. 'just my thought on a Sunday afternoon, gil PS whoever it was who put Orbital in comparison with MOBY when trying to take potshots at FRESH is way off the mark. Listen to the Brown album again, then listen to MOVE or whatever shitty MOBY album you choose and you will then understand why there's no use wasting your time with MOBY!

Now I agree that most of Moby's material does not interest me. But listen to the 'Early Underground' cd. This has two or three VERY good tracks. Classics in my opinion. Kevin

i was NOT taking "potshots" at fresh; i was questioning his characterization of moby as a "geezer"; and, if moby is a "geezer" why not orbital? and, i dont think im wasting my time listening to Moby's "ambient" or the "rarities" cd... in peaceful disagreement, tom w np: laswell/thaemlitz - web
