I was just listening to halcyon for the 1000'th time and it has always made me wonder what that sample is of those guys singing two notes "AhhhAhhhhhhhhhh" and then slowed down to be an octave lower. It has always sounded to me to be from Yes' "Leave It"---a brilliant song unto itself. Can anyone confirm this? AndrewM Be sure to check out http://www.monkey.org/~laps/music/hannant.html

The female sample is taken from Opus 3's "fine day". I heard somwhere that Opus 3 tried to sue Orbital for its use. Does anyone know about this? Rich Sihilling Eye Q Music/Harthouse Records See Dimension 23 live... 11/27 Magic Weds. (LA) 12/6 T.I.M.E (LA) 12/7 Sin-a-Matic (LA) 12/21 Chicago

Not true. I once read an interview where on of the hartnoll bros said that he arranged to record a track with the singer from opus 3 but the two were unable to get into the studio together to record the vocal track. So a sample was used instead; quite effectively, I might add. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
