Someone recently posted a message wondering about the new RHK release, if it was more of the same and if he/she should get it. Someone else answered affirmative to both, which is the answer I would give ! I guess we are talking about the new release on Ash International called _agents with false memories_ a 53 min. one-track cd, which could be considered as a follow-up to _project 80_ of Cabaret Voltaire's _the conversation_ (released in '94 on Apollo). It's filled (fueled ?) up with jummy noisy samples (he even sampled the _sex pistols_ - wasn't punk dead until you USA people threw up _green day_ and _the offspring_ ? - these are for some strange reason really popular over here) over a dubbish-trippy-hoppy kind of beat, instantly recognisable as RHK but very good. Things to look out for : a 2cd compilation of his alphaphone 12"s (no details yet for as far as I know). Things to look out for - the sequel : RHK signed to R&S for a 2 cd deal !!!!! dv8 P.S. : my comments on _alec empire_ and _industri-techno_ will follow shortly (I have to do some work first ;-)) P.P.S. : I'll finally be able to see Locust live (scheduled for 29.11 in Ghent, Belgium - any of you Dutch idm'ers comin' over ?)

Mmm, does not having the DAT mean that RHK is remixing the stuff of the 12"s or what ? Or are they having difficulties getting the original DAT for the 6x12" from RHK ? I'm curious about this because I would love the same new alpah-tracks or remixes on the 2xcd instead of the 6x12" (which to the best of my knowledge would not fit onto 2 cds). dv8
